Our material range — the right chemistry for every requirement
We work with the full Sonderhoff material platform, built on polyurethane, silicone and PVC chemistries. Each can be tuned for hardness, flow, cure speed and colour, so we match the material precisely to what your part has to do.
- Sonderhoff FERMAPOR K31 — Polyurethane foam seals. Our workhorse for sealing. A two-component, room-temperature-reacting polyurethane system that foams a flexible seal directly onto the part using FIPFG (Formed-In-Place-Foam-Gasket) technology. Ideal for enclosure, control-box and luminaire seals indoors and out — the soft foam follows any contour for a perfect fit.
Sonderhoff FERMASIL — Silicone foam seals & potting. When temperature, UV or weathering is the challenge. A two-component, room-temperature cross-linking silicone system for soft elastic elastomers and silicone foam seals applied directly to the part. Hardness ranges from 25 Shore 00 foam up to 40 Shore A, and gel-like up to 80 Shore A for potting, with foam densities from roughly 0.2 to 0.7 g/cm³ — available in white, grey, black or transparent. Suitable even for sealing ATEX-rated light fixtures in hazardous environments and high-temperature applications.
Sonderhoff FERMADUR — Polyurethane potting & encapsulation. For protecting what's inside. A two-component polyurethane system producing hard to gel-like potting compounds placed and cured directly on or in the component, forming a bubble-free compound within minutes. Uses range from protective surface coatings to encapsulating electronics and bonding parts, with flowability, reactivity, hardness and colour adjusted as required.
Sonderhoff FERMAGLUE — Polyurethane adhesives. For automated, metered bonding. A two-component, room-temperature-reacting polyurethane system for flexible to stiff adhesives, formulated to your specific recipe.
Engineered-in protective properties. The chemistry itself can be specified to solve compliance and safety challenges: low-emission formulations for low indoor-air VOCs, antifungal or antibacterial properties, and flame retardancy to UL 94 V-2 for sealing foams or UL 94 V-0 for adhesive sealants.
